Slug and other things i’ve been told to hate by Hollie McNish
This is a brief set by Little Brown Books to redesign Poet Hollie McNishs’ book ‘Slug and other things I’ve been told to hate’. McNish is clear-sighted on why we need to talk about topics like; menstruation, masturbation, and all sorts of gender and race inequalities, to combat the taboos of these normal topics. She does this still through a funny and playful tone of voice. I chose to combine the two and illustrate slugs as these taboo subjects.
